 21st July 2007 - The sun is beating relentless over the tent. People are running furiously all over the place, engine blow off valve noise and loud, pumping music permeates the air. An afternoon at the F1 grand prix? Far from it! This is the Motorsports Carnival 2007 held at Takashimaya Singapore. It would be rational for me to write out a journalistic report, but what the hell, journalism is boring.

I’ll tell you what. I’ll cut to the chase and give you the photos and everything else that makes a hot blooded man drool so much saliva it floods the Kallang river. So here are the shots of the Motorsports Carnival 2007……..

 

The HAWT Ms. Jamie Tan. She’s got brains and looks. Would love to go on about the lovely conversation we had about society & religion but my g/f is watching…so….moving right along…

 

This little kitty went to the market. This little kitty tried to help out at the Carnival…and went: Meow Meow, weather too hot etc etc all the way home. Fine, it dosn’t rhyme, but if you think she’s cute, dial 1800-buy-a-X1R lubricant.

 And finally, the last display amongst the human, non- petrol driven models. Didn’t get a clear shot of her, this little white bunny was moving too fast. Damn. Someone give me a speed camera before she’s gone in 45 seconds.

 RIGHT! Now that i have made the over sexed, adolescent boys happy…let the real autoconossieurs step in.  Unfortunately this year’s spread isn’t as magnificent as last year’s, so it looks like there will be some familiar models. I will not bother introducing them as most of you conossieurs are familiar with them. Drum roll please….

 Garage R’s WRX. For my overseas friends, Garage R is the leading tuning garage in Singapore, and Lester is their star racer. I did not manage to get him during this year’s show. Sad. But i did capture one of their fleet…

   

 Now these 2 mean machines are from another garage in Singapore, Robson Design. Their niche is in carbon fiber products, eg, hoods, scoops, interior panelling etc. I don’t really know much about them. Hey, i’m an underground street racer, not the yellow pages, bub.

   

 Check out these 2 black beauties. One of them belongs to Garage R. Pretty much obvious. The other with the mugen kit, i’m not sure.

  Ah. The perennial favourite of the ah beng (Asian Hooligan). Nissan Silvia S15 with bodykit, lower suspension and BOV. Nice.

 This year’s motorshow was disappointing. To be honest, a lot of people were expecting more ‘pimpin’ rides but there were only a handful. Most garages and tuning pitstops this year turned the motorshow into a flea market, desperately selling their accessories and lubricants. I’m looking forward to next year’s Carnival already.
